We settled a claim against Wexham Park Hospital for a failure to promptly diagnose a DVT. Our client was playing football when he suffered a gastrocnemius muscle tear in his right calf, causing him immediate pain and discomfort. He rested overnight, but was no better the following day so attended A&E at Wexham Park Hospital where he was told he had torn the muscle and needed to rest his leg.

Settlement of fatal claim from cholesteatoma arising out of failure of ENT team to investigate
We settled a claim against Medway NHS Foundation Trust relating to the death of a 30 year old man from an undiagnosed cholesteatoma, a bag of dead tissue in the ear.
Mrs H received treatment for cervical cancer in 2009 but she subsequently developed diarrhoea, abdominal pain and bloating and was referred for investigations to determine whether there was a recurrence of the cervical tumour.
This case involved a claim against The Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for a client whose husband died following a fall in hospital. The trust repeatedly failed to adequately carry out falls risk assessments.
Our client, a normally fit and active 40-year-old man, had difficulty walking and developed severe back pain after knee surgery at Wexham Park Hospital. We settled a claim against Heatherwood & Wexham Park Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust relating to the avoidable failure of an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, where part of a ligament from his leg was used as a graft to reconstruct the damaged knee ligament.
