Beth is a senior associate in the family law team in Guildford. She supports partners in complex UHNW and HNW cases as well as running her own caseload. She advises on all areas of family law for married and unmarried couples, with a particular specialism in complex financial matters, including those with international assets across multiple jurisdictions. Her recent cases have included overseas property and assets in Dubai, Austria, Liechtenstein, Pakistan, France and Singapore.
Beth has had a number of recent successes in complex and high value cases involving non-disclosure and other forms of egregious litigation misconduct in which she has secured significant costs orders for her clients. One of these cases was described by senior counsel as ‘the most extreme case of non-disclosure ever seen’. In litigated matters, she works on cases throughout Surrey and the South East and has acted on cases at the High Court. Beth also regularly advises client on the alternatives to court and supports them in resolving issues using solicitor negotiations, mediation and private settlement hearings.
I am a family and matrimonial solicitor, advising our clients and helping them to navigate some of the most difficult and determining events in their life. I am sought out for and pride myself on my ability to impart strong, astute advice with kindness, care and sensitivity.
Beth is recognised in the Legal 500, where she has been recommended for her ‘forensic mind’ and described as both ‘exceptional at what [she] does’ and ‘a real star of the future’. She is commended by counsel for her exceptional eye for detail and superb judgment. Meanwhile, clients commend her for her ‘impeccable discretion and sensitivity’, ‘outstanding advice’, and the ‘calm support’ that she provides.
A member of Resolution, Beth advocates a constructive and compassionate approach to the resolution of family problems. She joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2018 having trained and qualified at another leading family law team in the region.
