Michaela is a partner in the corporate team in London. She advises on a breadth of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, fundraising and investment agreements, exit strategies and general corporate advisory work. Her clients range from entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs to high-net worth individuals, family-owned and managed businesses and family offices.
A significant part of Michaela’s work has an international element and she regularly advises non-UK based clients, with a particular focus on Europe, the USA, the Middle East and Asia. She often participates at International Bar Association Conferences and contributed to the UK chapter of the Global Legal Post’s FDI Jurisdictional Guide and to the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe publications.
I sit at the centre of my clients’ business matters and advise them on all corporate matters and transactions. As a trusted advisor, I am often asked to assist with their wider legal concerns, when I bring in expertise from around the firm. I am sought after for my pragmatic and solution-driven approach.
Michaela joined Penningtons Manches Cooper in 2016 from another leading city firm. Previously in her career, she spent time advising on tax issues both for individuals and companies and obtained the STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients. She has been appointed as the vice chair of the western group of the International Bar Association’s European regional forum committee.
